The holiday season and winter break seem to be distant memories to us, now that we are getting back to trudging through another semester. As the cold and harsh winter winds of essays, projects and the like begin to pile up, we can all look back with fond remembrance of those few days of freedom we enjoyed. And a great part of that season was the OHS pixel parcel gift exchange! There is nothing like giving and getting a gift from someone you may/may not know living on the other side of the world. Yes, it is these events that help to distract us from the day-to-day struggle of life.
Now, more to the point, the pixel parcel event was a smashing success with over one hundred participants from seven different countries. This proved a great way to end the year and celebrate the holidays. I would like to thank everyone who participated and made this event such a success on behalf of the student government. The gift exchange also served as a great opportunity for international students to get more involved in the OHS community, especially since local meet ups are rare on the international level. From discussing the gift exchange with some of those who participated in it the general mood on the event was very enthusiastic.
Thanks to all 105 people who participated in this event and those in student government for organizing it; this was a great display of OHS generosity as well as a lot of fun!
